This bundle includes two projects to be completed by Year 6’s after SATs.
The Residential Project prepares students for going on residential and encourages them to reflect on their experiences.
The Design a House Project could be used by students who are not going on residential or for the whole class after SATs.

The aim of this project is to prepare students for going on residential and to encourage them to reflect on their experiences afterwards.
Example tasks include producing a leaflet that educates people on working well within a team, using online maps to find out about the journey, researching the area and then writing short reviews about the activities they did, sketching or painting something of interest and creating a slideshow with advice for students going on residential next year. Students will need access to the internet to complete some of the tasks.
Need something for children who aren’t going on residential? Check out these resources…

The learning behind every Year 6 maths national curriculum objective is modelled in this training PowerPoint. Examples include how to divide proper fractions by whole numbers, how to use long multiplication and division, how to describe linear sequences and how to calculate the area of parallelograms and triangles,
When I started working as a maths lead, I realised that most staff were apprehensive about their maths subject knowledge. This was particularly up to the level of Year 6 students and especially in areas such as fractions, algebra and ratio, which they had forgotten from school. Teachers and TA’s found this training really useful when it was given as part of INSET days and staff meetings.
It was later given to students and parents to help with home revision.
